Yes. Intensely dislike.
My rooster is half silkie and has a small poof and most of my girls are EEs...so head poofs are practically inevitable.
I would be open to replacing my rooster in the future with someone more handsome and not replace the EEs once they pass.
Quite a conundrum.

The Ayem Cemani crosses are starting to lay. Good news.
The eggs are petite at best. The mother also lays petite eggs. We may need a different set, for now, I'm satisfied with eggs and Crazy Lady likes the small meal portions. Nice flock and no changes for me. Probably won't breed these again because of skittishness.

The one that flew over the fence and then flew back over concerned me. Her wing was clipped, so problem solved there.

It's not imperative. My chickens are mainly pest control so looks aren't a huge deal. And my girls are very fond of the poofs, of course.
Now, my runner ducks are something I'm actively looking to improve. They don't stand as straight as I would like.
