My dog is like that, but she's big, almost 80 pounds. I tell people to ignore her until she calms down because if people start petting her right away she'll pee everywhere.

If company is inside, she goes out to her outdoor pen until she calms down. A lot of times even if I remind people not to pet her, they have the hardest time ignoring a dog, so it's just easier for her to be somewhere else. Or vice versa if my neighbor pops over. The dog goes in the house.

Of course, but I try not to put her in a situation where it's involuntary.
Happened just last week when a neighbor came over. She ran to greet him and peed all over the porch.
