I grew up with flight line access to a Marine base when I was a kid (pre 9/11). I was out there watching ops as often as I could con my folks into taking me out. Planes and flying are in my blood. I still have warbird posters on the wall in my garage. This one hits close to home with me. I haven't seen her in years, but I'm still upset about her loss, and the loss of both crews.
B-17 'Texas Raiders' in better days.I grew up living very close to Cleveland Hopkins airport. So close, my house was one of the ones "sold" to the airport so it could expand. Never did expand. Anyways, we used to go to the airport and watch the airplanes taking off and landing. I know they are commercial so different than military, but it is still a fun memoryhttps://duckduckgo.com/?q=don%27t+mess+with+texas+b-17+commercial&t=chromentp&iax=videos&iai=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXlFD0Zyl_f0&ia=videos
