Well, I am not entirely sure which way I lean with lobe piercings being done with a gun. Mine were done with a gun, and they have never given me problems.

I believe that if I had been able to finish my training and become a piercer myself, I would pierce lobes with a single use gun unless the customer explicitly wanted to be pierced with a needle.
