I think Dick is way above me on the financial rim. The trick is to win and not lose. If I had a habit of losing I would stop. No addiction here.

Oh yes, but I have to drive 40 miles to do it.

Walmart tried to come here a couple of times and got ran out of town. Personally, I wouldn’t mind one though I don’t go often.

I told some of the Civic leaders one time that I understand being a sleepy little town but we didn’t have to be comatose. Didn’t speak to me for a long time which was ok, too.

My area consist of a good amount of very rich land owners with 5000 acre ranches and a lot of poor uneducated people. There is a very small percentage of the middle class to which I belong.

when we moved up to CT we decided to skip over the snobbery and douchebaggery of greenwich and settled in newtown.

lots of retired nyc finance money and historical estates here, along with a lot of small farms.

also a lot of young families who moved here in the last two years from bigger cities in the northeast (nyc, boston, philly).

my grandpa was the maitre d at the copa back in the early-mid 50s. he was tight with all the yankees back then, but that was long before my time. i grew up on all those stories tho. i miss them now that he’s gone.

the pictures he has with ballplayers and celebrities are just incredible.

The Copa, huh? That place has... an interesting reputation. I bet there were stories!

there were LOTS of stories. my grandfather ended up writing a book about his life and exploits. he definitely lived life big.
