I didn’t mean to put you through all that. I just never heard of someone boiling just onions. But, I love onions so probably good. My next question was going to be if you cut them up or put them in whole. You answered that. But, I wonder how whole would do.
 
What do you guys drink then if mine is gross? 🤣🤔

The only thing I drink anymore is red wine. And I have that pretty rarely. Occasionally a beer with work folks. (there are, like, 8 bazillion microbreweries here; hard to avoid drinking beer with the crew).
 
scotch is my go-to, especially highland single malts.
Islay preference Here. I like smoky meat juice :) I won't ever turn down a highland or speyside though, or even blends.

Non-distilled stuff I'll usually go sweet like a lambic, or a nice dark stout.

There is only one thing we do with whole onions, and that is to attack them with a knife. 😂

An Irish ancestor of mine passed it down through the generations that onions need to be boiled. Always. 🤣
