Which came first........ 12 chicks or a coop? Newbie from Alabama

Hello BYC. New to chickens here. LAWMOM decided we were going to raise chickens. She brought home 12 (YES TWELVE) awesome litlle chicks. I guess we won't be short on eggs in a few months. Looking forward to posting pics and generally checking out all the good info here on the site.
