I believe in the big bang theory - one day, POOF - God made a chicken, a rooster and an egg - so neither came first, they were simultanious!!!!

I mean really, how can you have an egg, and nothing to fertilize it? How can you have a chicken with no rooster? So they both came first!

I'd have to say chicken, unless God made all three of them a happy family right from the get-go.....chicken, roo, and egg.....I think He made a pair, a roo and hen.....the real question is who decided to eat the white thing that popped out of the hen's butt??? Was it the testosterone filled, blame-everything-on-my-wife Adam??? Or manipulative, brainless Eve??? Or was it their boys, daring each other to eat something gross??? (I'd have to say the boys LOL!!!)

If you're a creationist the chicken. Reason: simple enough. God grabbed feathers and fluff and made it.

If you're an evolutionist, the egg. Reason: because the chicken descended from an ancestor species that was not a chicken. The mutation that led to the first chicken was an embryo within an egg laid by the predecessor that was NOT a chicken!
