Which dept in Walmart do I find the accurite thermometer-hygrometer?

Yeah my walmart doesn't have any styro coolers either. And the only accurite thermometer was the one without a probe. I don't even think they had the wireless ones, not like that would help...I have seen some posts on this site that used a regular cooler, but the good sized ones are about $30.

I think the styro coolers are seasonal items. I will try to get the upc and item number today for the cooler and the accurite thermometer-hygrometer. Next time you go to Wal-Mart, go to the hardware dept., and if you can find any associate, ask them to look up the items on their handheld terminals under "Item Locator" and they can tell you which stores in your area that carry the items and how many the stores should have on hand. Have them call the particular store that is susposed to have the items on hand to verify. If you can't find an associate in the dept., then go to customer service and they can look up the items too.

I have a couple heavy coolers that I got when I ordered from Omaha Steaks, I have been toying with the idea of using one of those to make a large hatcher and then converting my still air bator to circulated and getting another turner.

Yeah I think I read on here to ask at your vet's office, that they get large styro boxes for their meds deliveries? I have a small styro cooler, but have not decided if I want to use it or not, it is kinda small, My dad calls it a 'bait box'? I saw one on youtube that someone made with a cooler like it, but idk. I did think of getting the 12, and making bators out of them, taking them to the local auction and selling them, but I need to get one and make sure it will work first.

I checked The upc for the acurite thermometer-hygrometer at Wal-Mart. The upc is 7239700891, item # is 1169290 and they are replenishable so your store should carry them. Also, I found one styro cooler that is susposed to be replenishable, upc is 7707103549, item # 927078. Hope this helps!

I got into it with the wal-mart lady. She says they have nothing like that ANYWHERE in the store....and she would know since she has been there since it opened. So me being the stubborn mule that I am spent 1 1/2 hours in wal-mart until I found many different types...then found her to show her. I bought 3 different types (4 all together) and put new batteries into them and guess what....all 4 show different temps and humidity. I bought 2 of the Accurites that are pictured......with sensor (they don't say probe) and those are 5 degrees apart and 5% humitity levels apart. The little white clip on one is way off.....while all other 3 read between 44-58% humidity....it read 78%. And was saying in was 105 in incubator. lol

Yeah, I got so frustrated with all four of mine, I finally just decided to trust the Hovabator Genesis 1588, return it to the Factory setting, keep the tray filled by using aquarium tubing and put 2 oz a day in it! No more temp or humidity checks, I use the trust system and have better hatches!
Tina

Oh, some people would say use all four and take an average!
