Which device do you trust to tell you the correct temp/humidity the one tht is on the digital incuba

Just got a new digital incubator it has the temp and hygrometer already installed and calibrated and adjusted......I put my own in as well which device readings to I go by? The bator one is at 99.5 with 45-50% humitity holding steady for the last 2 days the one tht I put in the bator is running lower temperature and higher humidity....96.5 temp with 60% humidity which one do I trust?

Well, I guess it depends on the thermometer you are using. If you trust it, use it. I have not found the digital readout incubators to be reliable. I have a Brinsea spot check thermometer, two in fact, which is accurate to within a tenth of a degree and it also reads a lower temperature near the top of the eggs than the incubator displays. I go with the Brinsea. I think the temp probes on the incubators are located at the very top of the incubators so they are not recording temps near the eggs, just at the top of the incubator. The instructions on the incubators say to have a trial hatch and if they hatch early or late adjust the temp accordingly.
As far as humidity, I can't help you there. I have used three different sources and they all read differently so I just try to average the three readings.

Thank you Mrsbachbach!! This digital one is just all over the place!!! And yes the probes are all located on the top of the lid. The temp/hygrometer I put in there the probe is down where the eggs are. I'm gonna go with that one!! I have used it in my last hatch and everybody hatched!! ) Thank you so much for your input!! It is greatly appreciated

Not sure who you are asking, but I was referring to the new digital display hovabators.

I am asking the OP, I didn't know if they have a hovabator or one of the yellow plastic incubators with digital controls that are made in China and sold under different brand names, I have heard of those having issues with their calibration

I have one of the plastic china models and I'm having a time calibrating the temp. It uses Celsius, so I put my old standby thermometer in and at 38 c, my thermometer was reading 96f, trying to up it to 99.5 and it just does not want to cooperate. Out of despiration, I put the styrofoam around the translucent bottom to see if that will help. What a pain! Glad I have my hova-bator to use.

You small temp/hygrometer combo unit you can perform a salt test to calibrate it.

table spoon salt to 1.5 teaspoon water in small container, put in sealed bag with your hygrometer. After 6 hours see what humidity your hygrometer reads. However much it is off from 75% RH make a note of and use that difference to correct your readings this year. For example if your unit reads 67% then always add 8% to your readings. Low batteries can change accuracy so ensure to recalibrate each year and if battery is changed.
