Which end up?

I have many eggs coming (I got a little out of control). I have done this before but... Which end up? I have always set the small end up in my bators or eggs on their side (they often don't stay that way) in my auto-turned bators. I have just had a terrible hatch (my fault, temp dropped after I removed the turner) with our new styrofoam bator

and just got my old roll-x working again and I don't want to mess them up. Which is the better way?
Oh- and are ducks different? I ordered some of them too...

Big end up, always.

Absolutely large end up OR on its side w the large end at least slightly higher than the small end

I am not the greatest expert, but as far as I know Big side should be up on the side , never pointy end up!
