does anyone know? this would help me. :]
DOES anybody know?
TCS= tractor supply company...
or do they just order from whichever hatchery is closest to them
The ones around here (central Kansas) order from Privitt, but it might vary depending on where you are.
Ask your stores manager, ours has no problem telling where they order from. In our area they use privitt, and Ideal.
do they always have chicks?
Yes they have chicks certain times of the year, closer to Easter more than any other time.
Mine uses Mt Healthy and Ideal. you can be sure most of them are males or pullets of "common breeds". Very rarely you would get something of rare breeds.
We were at the TSC in Washington, NC last spring and they had boxes of chicks come in from Centurion Poultry, I had never heard of them before but it was all over the boxes.
Steve in NC
Some of ours order from McMurray and Ideal.
In Ohio they are ordered from Meyers and Mt Healthy.
Call your tractor supply and ask..if the person answering
the phone doesnt know ask for a manager. I did.
