Which hatchery? Which type of chicken?

I'm wanting to order a few blue Silkies from an online hatchery. I know Meyer has them, so I was thinking of ordering from them. Any positive reviews?

I also want to order another type of chicken from a hatchery (doesn't have to be the same one), but I'm still wondering what would be a good breed.
I want something... with long tail feather or a rare chicken or a colorful chicken.... lol. Obviously, I'm far from deciding... Any suggestions?

I have ordered silkies from cackle hatchery

I loved them

very nice birds I might say Show quality

They grew very pretty with big crets and beards

I sold them later as adults for $80 a pair

they were very pretty


I also like ideal poultry because you dont need to order 25 birds
their shipping rates are very reasonable and the best of all is that their minimum is $25 dls yes dollars not birds , right now they have good specials going on you should check them unfortunally for special prices the minimum is 25 birds

sumatra's are nice and rare, pretty, long tail feathers. They come in black and blue, the black ones have a beautiful green sheen to the feathers.

It might make a difference how many you want. I think most places require that you order between 15-25. MPC allows you to order as few as 3 (depending on the area you live/time of year and lf or bantam)
