Oh yeah, I never voted. None those really flip my skirt, but I’ll lean toward the bantams. You have them in both groups. Don’t care for frizzles or silkies, so I can see which direction this is going.

Practice on inexpensive eggs it this is you first hatch. (local)

I am currently hatching from Foxfire farms (ID) one state over. I got pot luck (Pure breeds just diff kinds) you can find her on Ebay if you look up potluck hatching eggs. 12+eggs for 42 free shipping (I think)
She sent 15 and 13 are still developing (one was not fertile, one quit)
My breeds are Maran, Isbar, Crested legbar, Mozaics, Golden Deathlayer, pita pinta, Ayam cemani.
All were in tact.

I did order some from Meyers for next year.

I know they do not send extra, (In my experience.) The do replace if any has a crack. (rare)
I rest them 24 hrs, before they go into the incubator, and if they have detached air cells I don't turn for 3 days.

Ive gotten seramas from her on 2016 before but it was live chicks as i didnt want to chance eggs.

Meyers…they have Buff Brahma and Mottled Cochin Bantams too!

I wish I had more room, I would do another order of shipped eggs from them!

Maybe once our egg laying goes down in the winter in a few years, I can beg for a bantam coop & run & get a couple new ladies .

I can get either 5 standard or 8 bantam next year for the big coop…but I don’t want to integrate Bantams to the big girls by themselves.
