which is better - to warm or to cool?

ok, the weather here today is driving me crazy.

It is supposed to get up to 87 but it's texas and you never know.

moved the heat lamp over to one side of the coop instead of in the middle. If I leave it on when I go out for a few hours do you think that is better than risking them getting to cool?

They are only a day old. Got them yesterday

If the light is on one side that sounds perfect. They can get under there if they are cold and if they are hot they can get away.
