Which is better?

Neither, it really depends.


Where are you getting them from? What sort of environment do you live in? How cold does it get where you are?



Wyandottes handle cold better, Rocks blend into deciduous environments better. Hatchery based stock of either will flee a predator better, but heritage/show stock will outweigh some predator's choices. Hatchery stock lays more or the same for the first year or two, but non-hatchery stock lays over a longer period of time.
