Which is cheaper? PVC or wood coops?

Wood. Unless, maybe, you have an alternative to pvc fittings.

I've fallen into that trap a few times with yard games and such. Pvc looks a tiny fraction of the price and looks a low price even with some fittings. But it always ends up costing more for something that took way more time than expected and isn't as good.

If you do keep looking into it, pay careful attention to what fittings are needed. I tended to count one fitting per joint when it often took three to five to get all the pipes of a joint to go the right ways.

Pvc also gets brittle when exposed to sunlight. It takes many years and possibly paint is enough to protect it but it is worth considering if you want the coop long term.

Wood is much better for the environment at the end of its life than pvc is at the end of its life.

I'm guessing we will not see @Moosky here again.
I smell a troll.
Dang. for the life of me, I can't understand the value of such posts. Most of the time these pop up as a reply to some long-dead thread. But, what value is it to the person that drop random posts.

Sometimes, somebody will make a reply that drives people to a site selling something, or to a youtube video desperate for clicks. One-off posts like these I just can't figure out.
