leghorns, sex links or rir would be the best bet for the most eggs.

Leghorns are very abundant egg layers but in my experience rather flighty and nervous. It depends on what else you want from your flock other than eggs. Some breeds are more aggressive than others, some more docile, etc.

My australorps have laid longer and more consistently than any of my other breeds, but I like to have a variety of breeds. My buffs are also great egg layers and very sweet and docile too.
