The kids are 4 weeks old, as of yesterday, and I am upgrading their lodging a bit, with wood shavings. Walmart has pine and cedar shavings for same price. I think the cedar will control odors and bugs better, but I understand most people use pine. Thoughts? Opinions? Poultry science? Anecdotal anecdotes?

Never use cedar wood shavings, the oils irritate their lungs and can kill the birds. Regular pine shavings are best. You can also use Bermuda or Timothy grass hay as bedding, some use corncob bedding too.
Okay, that makes sense. I got both! I guess cedar no good for bunnies, as well? Wife wants us to get a couple.
