1 of the Reds layed and egg and it had a shell, so do i go ahead and assume that the othr layed and egg w/ no shell or can it sumtimez have no shell and sometimez it duz??

How old is your hen? Young hens sometimes lay eggs with soft or no shells because they are still working out the kinks in their reproductive systems. Older hens lay soft or no shell eggs due to stress, disease or calcium deficiency. If the hen is not showing signs of disease, is getting plenty calcium and didn't get a fright it could be that she's not absorbing the calcium in her food properly.

They r young, bout a year and i thnk i mite hav been their ride ovr here
