This morning we had an egg at 3.28 ounces

from one of our ISA Browns. They usually lay between 2.5 and 2.8 so I was shocked!! I love these birds and thier eggs are beautiful!

My EE consistantly lays very large eggs, and about once a week or so I get a huge double-yolker out of her. Ive never weighed them, just going on size compared to the other girls eggs (and hers are larger than the orps and Dominiques). My other EE lays medium sized eggs.

Mine are all beginner layers, so all I'm getting are little eggs, and I'm STILL thrilled...lol!!

I won't know what to do when I get a normal sized egg, much less a double yolker.

It isn't something they are known for, but I have a couple of bantam Polish girls who absolutely rock as layers. They consistently give me large eggs daily! I'm not sure why!
