I have to do public presentation for 4-H. Public Presentation is where you have to write a speech. I can't decide if I want to do it on horses, cows or chickens.

Even if I decided which animal to do it on I don't know what I would do it about like do I do a breed or my animal or something else?

I would think no matter which, you'll be doing a little research, but if you own any of those, you could speak from your own personal experience too. That would tie in some knowledge you're giving them that you learned, with some experience that you have as well.

I would imagine you'd start with some general knowledge and information, like, hello (audience), today we're going to be talking about (animal). The (animal) is very important in today's agriculture because (tell us why). In the 4-H program young people learn how to raise and care for (animal). This animal's needs are fairly simple. (Explain). Explain what it needs and how you met its needs. You could include a bit about different breeds of this animal and what they're good for, like if you do cows, discuss meat vs milk cows, or talk briefly about different kinds of horses or chickens. From there you can go into detail about YOUR favorite (whatever). Then finish with comments about how the program benefitted you or what you learned from it, and whether you plan to do it again.

But this is just a general suggestion to give you some ideas. Does it help?

Whatever you choose is okay. Personal experience and interest should make your choice easier and the speech more interesting to listen to for your classmates. Making the speech personal with anecdotes is a real plus!

Tip. Only work on a few sentences to start the speech. Write down 5 important keywords. Go stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself what you know about cows or chickens, just looking at yourself. Not on what you have written down. Pretend you are a celebrity. Take a phone to record it and listen to improve.

Keep the good parts. Add what you forgot.
That way your speech gets more natural and entertaining to listen to.
