Which rooster(s) to keep?

Felt like an update was needed. My white leghorns were cornish crosses. My buffs are starting to get lots of feathers in! I thought their feathers looked different so I went back to my messages with the breeder and they're buff laced brahmas don't ask me how I could miss that detail, I must have seen brahma and lost all train of thought!

This is where the flock stands at:

• 2 light brahmas, one pullet and one cockerel (no temperament issues yet)
• 4 dark brahma pullets! (may reduce by 2 or more depends on the buffs etc)
• 1 columbian wyandotte pullet
• 2 buff laced brahmas still too young to tell their gender

An experienced free range multi-gen rooster is extremely difficult to come by right now, actually I havent seen any, just very expensive games. I've not seen any brahmas at all either except the breeder that I got mine from and she's an hour away and only sells chicks, I asked. Neither she nor the locally owned co-op could refer me elsewhere. I've seen the good the bad and the ugly before. A few bad roosters or even bad hens isn't going to ruin chickens for me lol. But I've got to start somewhere. Either I have a decent rooster from this group or I make space in the freezer and find another stand in. I have a few ideas if that's the case. Maybe the chicken craze will calm down in a few months.
