Which Splash Marans roo should I keep?

My first time hatching Marans, I have 2 splash and 2 blue to choose from. I am leaning towards keeping a splash because I don't like the color on either of the blues.

Here they are, they hatched April 24th, so are 14 weeks old.

Both hatched out of a similar colored egg (4 or 5 I would say) and both are about the same size.

I like the station in roo 1 better. I like the color in roo 2 better. Just my opinion I would keep the one that was more dominant.

My 8 mos old Splash roo's look nothing like they did at that age, they can change ALOT!!!!!!

I think the 2nd one is closer to what you will want in a Marans. Color can be worked on as you go but try not to lose the type.

Those are very nice roos! Im looking for a Roo because I ended up with what I "think" is a splash maran...the guy who sold me my babies at 3 days old just said marans....this is what I have...she is 24wks old...

Im think that is what she is...dark shanks, almost grayish blue...Ive heard her called also a splash orp...but Im thinking maran since he didnt have orps on the property. I like #2 on your roo
