Which type chicken fly the most

Some lines of gamechickens fly very well. Mine sometimes fly nearly 200 hundred feet horizontally when coming off roost. When chased by a predator they can crank up into tree canopy then level out and fly more than a couple hundred yards back to barn where they land on roof. With conditioning they can fly distances that I am having trouble convincing people the birds are capable. Mine can fly nearly as well as red jungle fowl and if in a competition I think could handily outperform Hambergs, leghorns of any sort, and Icelandics.

Instructions on how to make a chicken fly:

1. Grab chicken and place on football tee
2. take two steps back and two to the right or left (depending on your kicking leg)
3. run with all your might and kick chicken squarely in rear end
(for help with #3, paint an "X" on chickens behind for precision)
4. when chicken clears the roof of house put your hands up in a "field goal" fashion.

You have now just watched a chicken fly

Flight = Thrust + Lift

First I thrust My foot on a chickens butt, then lift as I extend my leg straight out in a kicking motion to give lift

Then Flight is achieved.

easy peasy lemon squeasy.

All kidding aside I would NEVER do this to any type of critter.

The capacity of flight for a chicken is innate thus an idividual that has never done so before can do so as a reflex. Practice though can greatly improve performance by increasing physical ability and the skill needed for manuevering and improving effeciency of flight.
