I think the bill in the air is a gander thing, my Embden gander does it too, never looks where he is going.

Are you that scary?LoL I have actually seen my goose step into the water bucket because he has his head up in the air, couple of times he even stepped on a duck or two because he wasn't watching where he was going. I am always saying to him Sammy watch where your going. He doesn't though.

Of the three geese that I have had a pair of American buffs and 1 embden the female buff is the only one able to get a foot or two off the ground for about 10 feet.

I posted just earlier today that my goose Natasha could fly 1 or 2 feet. Well she flew over the fence today. Which meant that she was 3-5 feet off the ground. Wish I could have seen her fly.
