My brother bought 3 white broilers from a guy at a flea market, and we noticed that they had colored tags cliped on their wings.
Can some one please tell me what these tags mean???
One is red.and the others 2 are green???

Since nobody has answered yet, I'll comment to bump you. I know some hatcheries use them to identify breed or sex. Not sure why they'd bother with broilers though? Any other ideas out there?

They may have been left over stock show birds. The broilers for the Houston Stock Show have silver wing tags and certain numbers are assigned to each exhibitor. It just helps keep track of who owns which pen at the show and keeps exhibitors from borrowing better birds from their friends. I would assume that they do the same for some of the other shows in other places.
