If white chantclers have a cushion comb how do you tell male or female?? Mine is about 5 weeks and trying to start watching for signs of a cockerel

Look at the hackle and saddle feathers. Pointed and shiny means male, blunt means female. They're usually in by 10 weeks, so it's early to try and sex them now. Chanteclers are tough.

Also, the males' legs are often thicker.

Thanks for the link!
This is Cadbury, I was trying to get pics of her legs but she refused to stand up.. so far no signs of wattles or much of anything really I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks before I begin guessing

It's tough, eh? My birds are 10 weeks old (ish) and I'm just barely able to pick out some males now. They aren't easy like the single combed breeds.

Yes it is !! With some of my others I'm watching the combs and pretty easily picking out the Roos and rehoming but with this little one I'm completely lost lol
