white chinese body language

My white chinese attacked me while I was giving them water pinched me really bad and bruised me. So I got the back of he/she's neck and set it down to the ground holding the back down to the ground. After this I got close to the bird and heshe started rubbing her chin on the ground and looking back up to me and as I touched the bird kept repeating the process. Is this a sign of submission, it wasant scared but looked more calm after that. Almost looked like a mating ritual like giving me approval but I'm not sure. If yal know anything it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Well My Embden gander and I have it out every once in a while and when he bites me I take him by the neck and put him on the ground just like my Muscovy drake does to him. then after he has settled down I let him up I make him walk away from me by opening my arms up real far [just like he would do to me] that usually takes care of things for a few days, sometimes I will just make him get out of my way just to let him know I ain't gonna take it. LOL They can be buggers during mating season. Sounds to me like he/she is a gander.
