I have 2 white cochins that have started laying. The 2 girls haven't quite figured out the whole nest box thing yet, so I keep finding their eggs in strange places. This morning I found one of their eggs on the floor of the coop with a white crust over half of the egg. I'm guessing she peed while laying. Any thoughts?

LOL !!! Chickens dont pee they poop, and I belive that is what you are seeing on your eggs, a little bit of poop (somtimes white colored) there is prob a name for it I'm just not sure of it !!

I find this on my eggs also somtimes !!

You can spot clean it off with a PT and water.
