white dot

I just hatched out two black chickens with white dots on their heads. I know this is a way to tell the sex of the chick, but can't remember which way it goes. I believe they call them sex links.

What breed was the mother? What breed was the father? If the genetics are set up right you can tell the sex by the dot, a dot means a male. But if the genetics are not set up right it means absolutely nothing other than they are barred.
