So I've recently acquired a new chicken! Besides this being ridiculously exciting, I still have allowed some doubt to creep into my brain on what gender it may be ... I went and picked "her" out among a bunch of other EE's, and she had one of the smallest combs and no color on her wings that I could tell. She's pretty dirty, so the blotches on her wings are from not being clean ... hope to fix that once she settles in.

Anyways! I shall put further judgment into the people on BYC :)
Here she is:

And here's a close up of her wing:

Looks like dirt to me ...
Anyways, hope to hear back on what you guys think :)

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention she's about 2 months here ...
Any possibility she could change to a he? I always get so worried, and with the heat lately her comb seems a bit redder ...
Also, anyone think she's actually an Ameraucana or is she an EE like I thought? The lady I bought her from said she was an Ameraucana but I figured she just got hatchery stock from the feed store which are technically EE's but after looking through the threads now I'm not so sure ...

I don't mind regardless, just interested to see what people think :)
I'll get better pics soon, those are from the first day I brought her home.

Here are some new photos ... do their combs get redder when it's warm out?
Hers was really light the first day we brought her home, and it's not THAT red but ... after I had to get rid of my last roo it'd be so unfortunate to find out she really wanted to be a he instead ... I can't help being worried over it
