so this may or may not sound strange.... i have a variety of indian runner eggs in the bator and two of the eggs in there are white, the rest are the blue/green color. the two white eggs are (as best i can describe) almost becoming opaque, as in normally you cant see through them and now you kinda can, there are these dark blotches on the egg almost where it looks like you can see through to the chick... is this bad or not...
i have my temp at 99 and humidity at 80% digital, NOT wet bulb. i saw movement in all my eggs on the 25th day, i candled before turning them the last time..
thanks for any input.

Duck eggs seem to do that. I kept smelling mine, sure they were rotting in there - almost all of them hatched. Keep that humidity up, don't think you can get it too high with ducks.

thanks so much for the encouraging replies, i considered taking a photo, but was too scared i'd open it for a second and deplete the humidity levels, (im using a simple hovabator model).

i was starting to worry since my last hatch i only had one duckling, and it hatched early. i think when i removed her from the bator i set in motion the events that killed the others that were fully formed, i later broke them open to find fully formed ducklings and a white membrane creased over thier bodies. i was horrified because i think removing my early duck killed the others.
so now i tried again and have 8 eggs in the bator, i started with 13 and chucked a few. day 25 i saw movement in 6 out of 8 of them... i pray that at least one hatches so my little one isnt so lonely in her age category...

anyone know if you can intervene at any point even if you dont have pips? or break throughs in the eggs? thanks

Are they like getting dark spots on them? What day are they on? When I've set duck eggs, depending on where they are in their development, 'dark' spots that are visible on the outside (or through) the egg are either indicative of the duckling trying to hatch, or that the duck has died.

they are dark blotchy spots, some are darker than other spots. the spots are irregular, as in they arent circles, just random blotches of diff. size and shape. now all my eggs have started developing them and i am starting to feel its a bad sign, i have no pips and no noise and im on day 30 now. havent seen movement since day 25 but am scared to candle them now. i beleive im now at a loss again..

Give them a few more days, they might hatch still. You can candle and see if they are pipped into the air cell at least, as long as there aren't any external pips it shouldn't hurt them. If they aren't internally pipped by now, they probably aren't going to unfortunately.
