Yeah, leghorns are the obvious answer, but if you go through Henderson's Breed Chart you can see other options and then go to Feathersite to see photos. The problem is that you can get leghorns about anywhere, there are that many of them. That's why they are the obvious answer. The others may be hard to find.

Appenzeller Spitzhauben! Mine is pretty consistent with nice sized white eggs and has a great personality along with a cool hairdo

I've heard they're dumber than heritage breeds - have you seen that?

Back yard hobbyists often sell white laying hybrids (,Novogen,) that resemble Leghorns as Leghorns. The same with Sussex and Barnevelder. But maybe it is a Dutch thing to sell apples for bananas. Here you have to be careful where you buy if you want the real heritage breed.
