I bought a 31 lb white holland for yesterdays dinner and it was way bigger than any other 30lb turkey I have ever bought before.
I have always been able to use the same pan for my turkeys including the one that I was told was 34 lbs but this one barely fit.
The breast meat was several inches thick, I could not believe it when I was carving it.
I was told by my family that it was the best turkey I have ever made.
I bought it at a local turkey farm, never been there before but will go again.
So does anyone think this is just the type of breed I had or was it a fluke that the turkey was so meaty?
