Hi all, just curious with white keets, what they typically feather out as an adult? Lavender or white? From what I examined, all 4 are solid white, so my guess is they will stay white. But I’ve never had white guineas from keets so I have no real clue.

Thanks!

They will be white as adults.

They will be white as adults.
Awesome. And so white is 2 copies of the pied gene right? That would mean keets from these could be white, pied, or pearl if they breed with the pearl I have already? I am still reading on the genes to get a better understanding

They have 2 copies of the white gene.

White x White = White
White x Pearl = Pied Pearl
White x Pied Pearl = 50% White, 50% Pied Pearl
Pied Pearl x Pied Pearl = 25% White, 50% Pied Pearl, 25% Pearl
Pied Pearl x Pearl = 50% Pied Pearl, 50% Pearl

White x Lavender = Pied Lavender
and so forth.
