Just wondering what breeds are out there for white layers. Looking for something fun/funky to add to our flock. We were thinking of adding some Crested Polish. But I’d like to know what other fun breeds are out there! Thanks ☺️

I'd love some silver spangled hamburgs. I think they are so pretty. But apparently they don't like confinement so aren't any good if you are in suburbia.

Leghorns come in a variety of colours too, some of them rather striking.

I loooove my Leghorms. Amazing layers and pretty hardy birds. I have brown, white and silver Leghorns. The silvers are my personal favorites.

My hamburgs are just fine in a run, if it helps, and they're my quietest ladies. My polish is a complete nutjob flake that panics at the rustle of a falling leaf, but it may just be mine. 😅

Hamburgs, anconas, sultans, spitzhaubens, dorkings, fayoumis, houdans etc. A lot of funky white layer options out there, although I'm sure egg productivity varies.

Andalusians aren't as funky but come in blue/black/splash and are fun birds. Need space, though. And polish are readily available compared to many rarer ornamental white layers.

We just have leghorns and a couple austra whites for our white eggs. They're great but I'm with you. I'd like to add some different white layers one day soon as well. Meyer carries mottled houdans and silver spangled appenzeller spitzhaubens. Both look interesting but I'm a sucker for cute crests.
