White leg horns help

The previous pic is the one of the rooster we posted questioning. I was looking at another one of our babies and the crown was bigger than the other 4 but smaller than the rooster. However you can really start to see waddles come in on him. :( so well be down to 4. Here is the 2nd one i believe is a roo. :(

Wow, yeah I would say cockerel. Looks just like my two chicks I suspect are cockerels, too. I'll post a picture. We got ours from TS
and they were in the WL pullets bin. Grrr!!

And out of 10 chicks, my 2 are the youngest/smallest (other than one pullet),
yet they are so aggressive. They do stare
downs with each other and run up and
flap their wings at each other. It's kind of
funny to watch.

We too got ours from ts. Although we got ours as straight run because they were just cleaning out the hatcheries. I looked at about 15 different ones trying to do it by the wings and i guess i got 4/6 right. ;(

Oh yes. That is why i suspected #2 of being a roo. They constantly bow up to each other and then flap at each other and are very mad. They challenge each other several times a day in the coop. I have been bringing all 6 in the house at night, they go in a large rabbit cage. Which they are getting too big for. So we have to reinforce the doors to the run so the dogs stop opening them. Anyway. When we built the coop i tried telling hubby he needed to enclose the coop itself but he left it open so we have no way to lock them into the coop at night like i would like. So they come in at night. And since they have limited space you hear the two of them going at it at night. Then they finally settle down and sleep on different perches or on the opposite sides of the perch.

What is the best way to go about cleaning them off?? I gave them yogurt the other day because its been really dry and hot out. Now they are all dirty. :(

Single comb birds are easy to tell males as early as 4 weeks and definitely at 10 weeks of age. Here's how you do it: look at the comb, if any red it's a male. That's it. Single comb females will not show red in comb until 16 weeks and later.

I just let the rain clean them. We've had a good bit the last two weeks. We let them free range. The little ones are out but they are watched carefully by my kiddos. They do show dirt b/c of how white they are, but to me when they are clean and glossy white no breed is prettier on green grass. With their bright red huge combs and wattles. Just my partial/bias opinion though.
