White Leghorn vs. Exchequer Leghorn?

I know leghorns are good producers. Does the white variety produce more eggs than the exchequer? Is one better for cold winters than the other?

As a general rule you could probably expecy better production from the White Leghorns but this could vary from strain to strain.
Cold hardiness would be about the same in most cases. Some strains of Whites might be a bit better because they will be bigger. The Exchequers tend to run a little small.

I just received a Myers catalog and they give info on their different breeds such as cold hardy, goes broody, production and with they list both their White Leghorn and the Exchequer as excellent production layers.
