You will get a better response if you post in Chicken Behavior and Egg laying

from NY give them another week or two and they will be laying. if they start squatting when you pet them and there combs and waddles get red there about to start laying.

I have Golden Comet pullets almost 21 weeks, all squatting now but only one has red comb (all others still pink). But they're starting to sing. It won't be long. The anticipation is part of the fun!

from soggy Alabama. Glad you joined us. Each chicken is different about when they start laying. Just give them a little more time & they'll start eventually

Before you know it, you'll be enjoying eggs.

Mine WLH's are 18 weeks today and they are not laying. We've had 67 days of triple digit heat and although I haven't lost one of them it has been hard on them. I have several that squat and freeze everytime we come near them so we have to be close. Also, I was letting them out about 8:00 to free range and now I am keeping them in until 11:00 so that if they do lay they are laying in their nests and not hiding in the yard- or at least minimize laying in the yard.
