We originally got two white chicks (among other breeds) at the local feed store. One white one came from the bin labeled California White Pullets. He (pretty sure it's a roo) is feathered out and his feathers lay smooth and straight. The second one came from a bin labeled Misc Straight Run Crested Chicks. She is smaller and her feathers have a ruffled effect. She has yellowish clean feet, no muffs, beard, or visible crest. She is on the right in the picture.
If anyone has any idea what she might be, I would be greatful for guesses.

My two California whites had very large combs, even as chicks, and were quite bossy. If the only reason you think the Cali White is a male is because of the comb (and possibly some aggression) I would reconsider. I would wait and see before you decide that's a male.

These were the best I could get. My dear Rosie the red sex link photo bombed her :D

(S)he is actually a big baby and not squawky and flappy about being handled like the others. I suspect a Roo based on his comb being that large since we got his at two weeks old. But I'm new to this :D

I'm not too worried about gender Yet, I'm just perplexed what this bird is. Her feathers are so different from my California White.

I’m no breed expert, I’ve never seen a chicken like this before, but maybe it’s a mix breed?
Whatever breed she/he is, you have a beautiful bird!
