White Orps OR White Marans

I want a pure white chicken

Trying to decide which eggs to get for hatching.

I LOVE both of the breeds. Any pros and cons out there??

Well, I have white orps, They're beautiful birds... My rooster is named Gonzo. He hangs out on our back porch all day everyday facing the door and crowing! Like come out and see me! (or wheres the treats) I think they've figured out that the good stuff comes out of that door! However, I would think the marans are more rare. Do they also lay the really super dark brown eggs? I myself would go for the marans, if they lay the darker eggs. But thats just me.

yeah they lay the darker eggs, but looking for a big white bird... I think both qualify, that's my dilemma
