White/Red Lights

I wondering what the advantages/disadvantages of different heating lights are... thanks!

Red- dont last as long

White: stupid peepers peep all french toast night long. GO TO SLEEEEEP!

Red discurages picking. They can't see any blood or red spots, every thing is red! Red is also easier on the eyes and calming! I use both but red first then white when I move them into a bigger brooder.

I have ALWAYS used white and nothing else. they don't pick at one another, they sleep when tired and are awake when not tired.
