White Rock Cornish x meat birds

I am looking at getting these birds for the spring. Was wondering if I should get pullets or coxs? First time with chicken just looking for advice.

Just buy straight run (a mix of both). That way you can a variety of sizes. The males get a lot larger than the females.

Ok thank you. I was worried that the males would make a lot or noise, or are they to young to do that before 8 or 10 weeks?

thats the odd thing about these birds to me mine are 9 weeks old 4lb plus birds and they still sound like chicks or like a 8 week old chick do but looks like most breed size full roos and hens.

Thank you. How about the roosters fighting. Do they fight or peck at the other chickens much?

they dont move much but eat and drink at the end i havent had any fighting mine are very friendly run when i come to their pen and they huddle around me for food or worms for treats.

Do you keep them in a coop all the time or do you let them out in a run at all?

I brood them for 3 weeks then tractored mine for 4 weeks and now finishing them in the coop for two weeks

Ok. What is your average dressed weight?

3 lb 14 oz to 6lbs only had one under 4lbs. but I grow mine slower less health issues on a mix of barley mash, oats and corn
