OK OK So I dont have a pic at the moment but picture, if you will, in your mind's eye a white chicken. Now, imagine said chicken with the lightest creamy colored barring in a pattern identical to a barred rock, just alternating between white and cream/ivory. Is that what White Rocks have or is this something funky?

I guess I wouldnt think the hatchery would be overrun with mutts haha. Maybe a more appropriate question is, are there breeds that have this coloring? We seem to have only one with this light barring (its like a good ghost flames paint job) out of all the white ones...

Agreed. They wouldn't stay in business long if they had a lot of accidental mutts -- but they do crossbreed to get better layers, etc. And they have a lot of extra roos, of course. I'd say you have a packing peanut, no idea what kind.

Ah, a hatchery. Now that's different. Hatcheries are notorious for doing unspeakable crosses to increase egg production to hatch more chicks. It could very well be a white rock that had a barred ancestor somewhere down the line. The world may never know.

Please do post a photo though, I can just imagine people would be curious to see it.

This is a white leghorn/barred rock "barnyard special" I got from a friend.

Yes! OMG just like that. On the very VERY tips of the wing there are like 3 spots where the barring is reddish instead of cream but you wont see them unless he opens his wings. Could I have gotten a leghorn/barred rock from Cackle?
