White Rock X BLRW

I have a nice White Rock hen that has been breeding with my BLRW. I have been thinking about trying to hatch some of her eggs, and I was wondering if anyone here has done this combination. What did you get? It would be so cool to have a white chicken with blue lacing. Anyone have pics?

It would depend on what color the White Rock hen is masking under her what and if whe may possibly have the Silver genes.

IF she has silver genes, then you you would get sexlinks.

Most White Rocks are masking Barring or Black under the white, so you probably wouldn't get the same results as the ones in the link from a White Wyandotte who can be masking Silver lacing or some of the other wyandotte colors.

If she is masking barring, then you may get sexlinks there as well.

But there's no way to give a definative answer without knowing the genetics of the White Rock hen.

The chicken calculator suggests blue and black chicks but again it it depends on what the white is masking.

How would you get white with the blue lacing?

If she is recessive white you will get blue & black chicks, if she is not then:

25% Pullets, blue patterned red incomplete laced
25% Pullets, black patterned red incomplete laced
25% Cockerels, blue patterned red incomplete laced
25% Cockerels, black patterned red incomplete laced

you mean cross the SLW and the Blue wyandottes? That is supposed to produce some lavendar laced, but we have yet to raise any. Wonder if I have any pictures laying around of that cross.
