White Rock

Everything I have read about White Rocks are that they are docile and friendly. I got one, and she is not docile or very friendly to our adult rooster. Its the craziest thing. I have 5 pullets and she's the oldest. If the rooster gets too curious, she flies at them. Thoughts?

Shes also doesn't like being handled much. We've had her for two weeks.

Could be a cockerel, or she could just be really feisty. Each bird is an individual regardless of what breed standard states.

I agree with you Rosemary. I hope she is just a bossy hen. My first two chickens both turned out to be roosters. One was more aggressive, and I had to rehome him. Breaks my heart. Whatever is best for the flock though. Thank you for your reply.
