Is this a White Rock and is it a roo?
It was gave to me it is about 2 months old

I think it's almost definitely a hen. The comb and wattles are what you want to look at. The chicks with bigger wattles/combs are most likely roos.

Roo.. my white rock pullets are 4 months old and barely have any comb at all.

I would disagree--combs and wattles can be deceiving. An older pullet at point of lay will have larger, redder comb and wattles than a younger cockerel, and an Ameraucana rooster might never get wattles at all.

Look for hackle feathers and saddle feathers. Those are skinny, pointy feathers around the neck (hackles) and hanging over the bird's back just in front of the tail (saddle feathers). Do you have a photo that is closer to the bird so we can see feather shape? I *think* I see hackle feathers coming in, but would need a better photo to be certain.

There's a photo towards the end of this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...rstand-hackle-feathers-and-saddle-feathers/10 that has the hackle and saddle feathers circled for you.

I think the main problem is not the sex but the breed...This chicken is a rooster but not a White Rock or , if a White Rock, a very very poor specimen of the breed....Looks like a White Leghorn X White Rock Cross like the ones we sold at feedstores and grain mills in the 1940's and early 50's....Yes, I'm getting old, or I probably wouldn't be be doing this as often as I do..Good luck..Take this chicken and fry it for supper...End of problem for you, not the chicken!

It looks like a hatchery quality White Plymouth Rock to me. No white earlobes so its not a Leghorn.

I think you should take a better picture of the saddle feather area. The tail feathers are ruffed up, we can't tell if it has sickle feathers coming in or not.

You don't have to worry about it being a CornishX. At 2 months old, it should be looking akin to broad breasted white turkey ;)
