White runny pooh

My 8 wk old RI red has runny white pooh today. She was fine yesterday. She doesn't quite seem herself. What could it be?

The white in the droppings is usually urates. White diarrhea can be a sign of a serious illness. in any case she needs supportive action: crumbles mixed with some sort of probiotic to support her ailing digestive tract, an egg yolk in her food would help. Anything else you can tell us? What's she eating, what's her footing, where's she kept, any new birds, any food changes, where's she kept, etc etc. We need all that information.

Separate her in the mean time.

Isolate her. Bring her into a secure warm and comfortable place.

Give her crumbles. starter and yogurt. Give plenty of water and force this if necessary. When forcing use a dropper and only apply to the side of the beak. Do a small amount at a time, but do it many times.
watch for distress when drinking. You can harm the chicken by filling the air sacs inadvertently. Go slow and you should not have a problem.

Wait, if you can for this action before giving antibiotics. Antibiotics are NOT necessarily the answer.

Thank you for your support. She has a bulge in her chest which I am assuming her crop is not emptying? She seems fine, except she is less interested in eating. She eats just not the glutton she used to be. Her droppings seem to be normal again as best I can tell. Is there anything I can do for her? We do not have a poultry vet close by.

The droppings being mostly urates and that crop are probably related.

If you're feeding her anything solid (grains, etc) I'd stop. Feed her just crumbles and/or pellets. Smell inside of her mouth and see if you smell anything funky. Use probiotics, please. That way it'll help her gut (and thus her crop) start moving.

Any chance she got into anything that could have blocked her crop? Grass without being given grit, for example?

withdraw food for the night, then recheck the crop in the morning and see if it has emptied...

if not..it's most likely impacted..

a little oil given by drops on beak, and massage might help.

wouldn't hurt to check mouth and throat using a small flashlight and check for whitish or yellowish sores..and sour odor..
