there are many mosquitoes in the yard, should I spray mosquito repellent on them? Those do look like pustules. The only thing I can think of that causes those in chickens is fowl pox, the virus carried by mosquitoes. But that does not seem to look like it to me. I am nit very familiar with naked neck/turken chickens. Do you have mosquitos now?
Some of the pustules have scabbed over and turned brown, just as you said. I’ll try the method you suggested for repelling mosquitoes. Thank you!Do the pustules look any different? Fowl pox usually scabs and turns brown. No, I would not spray them. Can you get some thing to control the mosquitoes in your coop? I have used Gordons or Martins Permethrin 10 concentrate mixed with water 5 ml water into 1 quart or liter of water, in a spray bottle or garden sprayer. Spray your coop and walls. It lasts 30 days. Be careful with too many incesticides around chickens. They also kill bees which is not good for flowers and vegetables.
